N.K. BAGRODIA PUBLIC SCHOOL SECTOR-4, DWARKA, NEW DELHI - 110078 SESSION : 2018-19 CLASS : PRE – PRIMARY Dear Parent, Summer vacations are synonymous with fun, frolic, playing for longer hours with friends, going for picnics and exploring new places. But there is a lot more you can do to make your vacations more interesting, meaningful and full of fun .We know you are looking forward to spend some constructive and quality time with your child. Keeping this in mind the holiday home work has been designed. Here are some very interesting activities for your child to stay happy and occupied. The assigned activities have been designed to reinforce essential skills learnt at school and to help students establish regular habits. We hope that you enjoy doing each activity with the child and make holidays fruitful and exciting. Space out the work and we are sure our fledglings will enjoy doing the same with the support and guidance of the elders. Few guidelines to make long summer break fruitful. 1. “Knowledge is Power”. Therefore encourage your child to cultivate reading habit because it not only enhances the knowledge acquired but also develops the vocabulary, language skills and improves spellings. Also read to your child because it builds reading skills and increases his/her attention span. 2. “A healthy mind lives in a healthy body”. Encourage your child to go out and play because sports instill discipline, generate sporting spirit, channelize energies constructively. 3. Communication skills play a pivotal role in grooming the overall personality of the children. Converse with your child preferably in English to help him / her get comfortable with the language. Encourage your child to read children’s magazines like Magic Pot, Chandamama, Champak etc.
