1a) General description – pilot areas

Pilot areas involved:

Poiple (SK) / Duna-Ipoly National Park (HU)

Iron Gates Nature Park (RO) / Djerdap National Park (SRB)

Maramures Nature Park (RO) / Carpathian Biosphere Reserve (UA)

The identified pilot areas are located in the 5 Carpathian Countries members of the SEE Programme Area

- Drafting of a report identifiying the fields of cooperation and the related common activities to develop in the pilot areas and planning of the activities.

- Elaboration of cooperation agreements for the development of the identified common activities in transboundary PAs.

- Integration of the CIMM elaborated at transnational level in WP 4 in the cooperation agreements. Conclusion of cooperation agreements

• WP 3: participation and contribution to the Protected Areas Conference – in progress, WP6 will be presented in a workshop

• WP4: The linkage with WP4 will be established in the frame of act 6.2, implementation of CIMM

• WP 5: provide data on the legal, natural and economic barriers in pilot areas

• WP 7: participation and contribution to the stakeholders consultation process - in progress, to be held in the beginning of November
