+Introductory Adverbial Clause

When you turn in your paper, one of the sentences in the paper must begin with an introductory adverbial clause just like this sentence begins with an introductory adverbial clause.

(SWABT)

+Infinitive

To get full credit on the prescriptions, one of the sentences must begin with an infinitive just like this sentence begins with an infinitive phrase.

(To + verb)

+Abstract Noun as Subject

Perfection on the prescriptions will only be achieved if your paper contains a sentence with an abstract noun as the subject of the sentence.

(A “feeling/idea” noun)

+Gerund as Subject

Writing a sentence that contains a gerund as the subject of the sentence will also help you earn full credit for the prescriptions.

(-ing verb used as a noun)

+Compound Sentence

You must also include a compound sentence in your paper, and it must be punctuated correctly to get full credit.

(Sentence, “BOYFANS” sentence)

+Sophisticated Compound Sentence

Your paper should include a more sophisticated compound sentence, too; therefore, you will need to include a semi-colon-transition—comma construction between two sentences.

(Sentence; therefore, sentence)

(Sentence; of course, sentence)

(Sentence; although, sentence)

(Sentence; however, sentence)
