1 Subject: Performance of domestic airlines for the year 2016. Traffic data submitted by various domestic airlines has been analysed for the month of September 2016. Following are the salient features: Passenger Growth Passengers carried by domestic airlines during Jan-Sept 2016 were 726.98 lakhs as against 590.21 lakhs during the corresponding period of previous year thereby registering a growth of 23.17 % (Ref Table 1). Passengers carried by domestic airlines during Jan-Sept 2016 were 726.98

lakhs as against 590.21 lakhs during the corresponding period of previous year thereby registering a growth of 23.17 % (Ref Table 1).

The passenger load factor in the month of Sept 2016 has almost remained

constant compared to previous month primarily due to the end of tourist season.

The overall cancellation rate of scheduled domestic airlines for the month of Sept 2016 has been 0.42 %. Airline-wise details of cancellations are as follows:

During September 2016, a total of 728 passenger related complaints had been received by the scheduled domestic airlines. The number of complaints per 10,000 passengers carried for the month of September 2016 has been 0.9. The airline-wise details are as follows:
