MEET OUR NEW WORTHY
GRAND KNIGHT BROTHER (SK)
STUART LEWIS INSTALLED AS
WGK FOR FRATERNAL YEAR
2020/21
Brother Stuart came to us from Council #8781 in
Farragut (Knoxville), TN. He’s been a knight since February 2007 and
attained the Third Degree in September 2007. In April 2011, he
became a Sir Knight and served as a member of the Fourth Degree
Honor Guard for Assembly No. 2920. A Financial Secretary for five
years with Council 8781, he has a firm knowledge of the workings of a
council. While in Knoxville, he was on the First Degree Exemplification
Team as well as on the Traveling Third Degree Team. After moving to
Niceville in 2016 and joining Council 13527, he served as Advocate for
two years and Warden for one year as well as serving on the Fourth
Degree Honor Guard for Assembly No. 3236.

Knight of the Month- Past Grand Knight Jim Yurack Family of the Month- Jim and Amy Yurack Family
Heartfelt thanks to Brother Jim for his leadership this past year as Grand
Knight and all that he and his family did to support our council.
Life Director, Dave Halupowski Explains Summer on the Sidewalk The abortion clinic in Pensacola is operating constantly after months of inactivity. After reviewing
their application for a license, we discovered that they do not have an admitting agreement with any
hospital as was stated on their application.
We invite everyone to join in in prayer outside the abortion clinic especially during these times:
Please be aware that other individuals also conduct vigils outside the clinic that do not share our
quiet, prayerful approach which focuses on the people involved and their emotional needs. If you find
yourself in the midst of this group, we suggest you leave and return another time. We also suggest you do
not show up alone at night and also conduct your vigil together with others.
If you would like to get training as a sidewalk advocate, contact Mary Beth and Ernie: Program Director(s): Mary Beth & Ernie – Pensacola, FL

him outside and everybody sang “Happy Birthday” to him at a social distance.

He’s been the Faithful Friar of the 4th Degree Assembly for a number of years. Deacon

Please Help a Brother In Distress- The Capt Christopher Brooks Fund
Brother Chris, member of Mary Esther Council 8910, was reassigned to MA by the USAF. In
arranging for housing, he was the victim of fraud resulting in a $5000 loss and no house for his family
when they arrived. Additionally, his wife is in a high-risk pregnancy and must be close to hospitals in
Boston which restricts the available places to live and incurs further financial strain.
We are taking up a collection among four councils to help the Brooks family in this time of
financial need. If you are able, please mail a donation to our Financial Secretary, Lenny Smales, at
the same address you send your dues. Please enclose a note indicating the funds are for Capt Chris
Brooks. Vivat Jesus!
