2010 Gray Gelding

Pepto Doc West is a 3 year old, big boned, very muscled, AQHA gray gelding. If you want something moved, this boy can do it! He picks up both leads, rolls shoulders, haunches in, sidepasses, performs reining and cutting spins, and stops off your seat. This big boy has trailed cattle, been roped off of, and very few things seem to bother him. He is extremely curious about his surroundings, and likes to go explore. He has no problem with ropes around his legs or having a whip cracked off of him. He is soft off your reins and light off your legs. He will be a very willing and eager partner for anyone lucky enough to get him!

2010 Sorrel Gelding “Henry” is a very athletic 3 year old gelding, who is very willing to learn. His gaits are smooth and he is extremely sensitive and responsive. His Doc O’Lena background shows! He can get uncomfortable around new people, but once he gains your trust and understands he is being treated with fairness and kindness, he is a pleasure to work with. Style abounds from the inside to outside with this guy. Capture him before you miss out! You won’t regret taking this guy home.

2010 Sorrel Mare

MS CHIP is a 3 year old AQHA sorrel mare that is 15 hands tall. She is desensitized to the flag at walk, trot and canter. She can be saddled, unsaddled, and mounted from either side. You can also mount her from the fence. She has had hobbles on, done well on trail rides in the mountains, and loads in a trailer nicely. She has been shod and handled it very well. She tracks a cow pretty good, doesn’t mind a rope, and can drag a barrel and a log. MS Chip picks up the correct leads and will also stand still. This nice quiet mare would be an asset to any person or family that is looking for a solid partner to have.

The horses are bred for disposition, soundness, conformation, and cow with speed and brains. The Harrington ranch raises cattle and horses in Dillon and the Grasshopper Valley. The Hirschy family has ranched in the Big Hole for over 110 years, and runs cow/calf and year-ling operations in the Big Hole and near Twin Bridges.

2009 Bay Mare “Lola” is a very flashy, 15 hand, dark bay mare with four white boots. Lola is a 4 year old that brings present day maturity to do a job right away for you. This mare is very smooth to ride over all terrain and light off your reins and seat. She is hobble broke, can lope off from a walk, pick up both leads, do simple lead changes, stop off her hinds, perform cutting and reining spins, back circles fluidly, and neck rein with ease. This mare will make a great cow horse and has already begun cutting, herding, and roping. She has a calm, steady mind, but is quick and eager to learn anything you want to teach her. She has drug barrels, poles, and tarps without a care in the world, and doesn't mind ropes around her legs. She has been ridden bareback, had a whip cracked on her, and knows how to lay down on cue. If you are looking for a solid mare that will go anywhere and do anything, she is the one for you.

2009 Chestnut Mare “Fox” is a quiet, and gentle, 15.2h, 4 year old AQHA chestnut mare with a splash of white on her hind legs and face. This mare is supple and light in the bridle and moves easily off of leg pressure. She holds vertical flexion and moves with desirable impulsion and collection, making her a naturally smooth and sure-footed traveler. Fox is tentative to her rider; she travels willingly on a loose or collected rein at any gait and rates to seat. She has fluid forward and downward transitions, as well as solid and straight stopping power. This mare has been out on trails, through water crossings, up and down hills, traveled in the front, middle and back of the group, she has a lot of exposure tracking and rating to a roping machine, dragging poles and barrels, and working live cattle. This mare is well mannered, ties and/or hobbles, trailers, stands for the farrier, and nearly bridles herself. Fox has a great foundation built with balance and foot control, she sidepasses, moves off of leg yields, turns on the haunches and forehand, her riders can work gates.

Maggie is friendly, but not spoiled, and handles everything I throw at her like a champ. She is very willing and is waiting to do the job you give her. She’s a gem!
