Importance of the call of Disciples to the Ministry of Jesus

Jesus’ major reason was to train the disciples as successors who will continues with the preaching of the gospel of salvation to others. This explains why He charged them at the point of His ascension to make disciples of all nations.

Factors that Militate against Discipleship (i.e Demands/Costs…)

- lack of Self-denial - lack of positive and prompt response -lack of total commitment -lack of genuine love -lack of perseverance -lack of humility, and -inability to face persecution.
