Our five year B.ARCH programme provides a stability of theory, design work and professional experience.

Broad-based thoughtful understanding of Architecture is achieved with the help of clasroom lectures/ seminars and stu-dios. You'll be skilled by specialists and experts who are at the forefront of their relevant fields.

Knowledge application in the studio through a series of design projects, developed scale and complexity until the culminating thesis design in the final year which addresses a range of con-ceptual, representative, cultural and technical designs.

We have a strong design studio culture which acts as a laboratory for trialling your creative and critical ideas and for developing fundamental architectural skills. Group tutorials offer sharing of ideas, review other students' work and initiate the develop-ment of your personality as an Architect.

Faculty of Architecture formulates our studios, bringing with them industry ideas and skills from the Architectural practice realm and indepth inquiry from research and development.

The candidates who have qualified the aptitude test i.e. NATA or JEE , with pass percentage in 10+2 scheme of exam-ination with PCM or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics shall be eligible for admission to B.Arch course for the academic session 2020-2021.

M. Arch (Advance Design) Program : The Master of Architec-ture is a full time two-year professional post graduate degree proposed program of BGSSAP from August 2021 to be approved by the Council Of Architecture, New Delhi. The stu-dents are trained in large scale urban projects in the fields of Airport Design, Hospital Design, Housing Design, Urban Design, Sustainable Architecture, New Building Materials and Entrepreneurship.

B. Arch Eligibility

COURSES OFFERED

BGSSAP started the Ph.D program in June from the academic year 2020, offered by Faculty Of Architecture, Visvesvaraya Technological University. The objective of the program is to train the scholars towards in-depth explorations into advanced research and research publications and is appropriate for those seeking careers in research, Academic or Government roles, management or Professional consultationconsultation all of which require depth in specialization and expertise.

1. The candidates shall possess Master’s Degree in Architecture / allied specialization or equivalent recognized by the University, with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 out of 10 or 60% aggregate marks at either the Bachelor’s or the Master’s Degree in the respec-tive discipline.

2. The candidates possessing Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent recognized by the University with outstanding merit, having either a minimum CGPA of 7.75 out of 10 or 70% aggregate marks and published research papers in refereed journals or filed/ obtained patents shall also be eligible for admission to the Ph.D Integrated degree programme, subject to ap-proval by the Admissions Committee.

3. The candidates possessing Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent recognized by the University, with 10 years of experience in teaching/research/ professional practice in Architecture shall also be eligible for admission, subject to approval by the Admissions Committee.

4.4. The candidates pursuing M. Arch. Degree at the University who have successfully completed the prescribed coursework in the first three semesters of study with outstanding merit having either a minimum CGPA of 7.75 out of 10 or 70 % aggregate marks and demonstrated good research aptitude shall be eligi-ble for up-gradation to the Ph.D. Integrated Degree Programme, subject to approval by the Admissions Committee.

Part -Time candidates for the Ph.D. Degree will be eligible for submission of the thesis after a minimum period of four years from the date of provisional registration, subject to fulfilment of all the prescribed requirements.
