rowan t. Chlebowski, md, phd Friday Keynote Speaker

Rowan T. Chlebowski, MD, PhD, is a professor of medicine at the David geffen School of Medicine at uCLA and chief of the Division of Medical Oncology and Hematology at Harbor-uCLA Medical Center. Dr. Chlebowski acts as a Women’s Health Initiative representative to the national Cancer Institute Cohort Consortium and serves on the steering committees for multiple studies focused on breast cancer and women’s health, including the Women’s Health Initiative and the Women’s Intervention nutrition Study. His major research interests include prevention and treatment.

gareth davies, phd Saturday Keynote Speaker

gareth E. Davies, PhD, specializes in the genetics of complex diseases but is highly involved in other interests such as behavioral disorder genetics. He is currently the scientific director at the Avera Institute for Human genetics in Sioux Falls, S.D. He is also an associate professor within the Department of Psychiatry at the university of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine in Vermillion, as well as an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at South Dakota State university in Brookings.

matthew A. steliga, md Saturday Keynote Speaker

Matthew A. Steliga, MD, specializes in thoracic oncology with an emphasis on lung cancer, esophageal cancer and other tumors of the chest. Dr. Steliga is experienced in minimally-invasive thoracic surgery. He previously served as an instructor in the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and is currently assistant professor in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the university of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
