We consider a Sustainable City to be one that:● strives to reduce its per capita use of natural resources to a level

that endangers neither local nor global ecosystems, and at the same time

● ensures that political, economic and social systems guarantee a high quality of life for everyone.


● SPP raises awareness of sustainability issues

● SPP allows PAs to achieve environmental targets

● Helps public authorities meet key environmental, social & ecological challenges

● Drive the market / launching pad for new technologies

Monetarising emissions such as NOx, SO2, CO2, etc. in the award of tenders

Drive innovation (e.g. Self-Healing Concrete Healing Concrete – Bacteria deposit dense layers of calcium carbonate and other minerals on concrete structures sealing off green house gases or Algal Wastewater processing – Using bioreactors that combine bacteria and algae)
