The Reason
The Yorkists Claimed that Henry VI,
who had lost the throne of France and all English lands on the continent, had no right to e the king.
Also claimed to have a right to the throne because of their desendance from and older son of Edward III
The Lancastrians
Were against the Yorkists to remain on the throne and simply thought that they would deserve it
