Remove from back• Use a knife or your nail to remove as
much foam and glue from the back of the membrane as you can.
• By bending the cone a little it gets easier. Don’t bend to far!
• If you remove the ring it’s possible you tear a small layer of paper of the woofer’s cone – that’s no problem (former picture).

Glueing to frame - hint• Center the ring?
Play a very low tone (5 Hz / 10 Hz) over the woofer at a very low level while the glue is still wet. The woofer will tend to center itself.
![Page 21: © Good Hifi 2007 Glue rings to the back A manual.](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022070308/551b95b9550346167e8b54ae/html5/thumbnails/21.jpg)

Test woofer• The glue is dry?• Play my test-signals over the woofer.
Listen if you hear any scraping sounds. Push the woofer (while not playing!) a few times – feel if there’s any scraping. If the woofer is not centered (i.e. you feel or hear the scraping), remove the ring an apply another one – centered.
• Everything OK? Enjoy your ‘new’ woofer!
