Vila Verde
Vila Verde is a beautiful town and it is also the seat of a municipality with 227.20 square kilometers in area, which is divided into 58 parishes.
It’s a quiet town , where people care about the environment.
Traditional Festivity
Festivities of “Santo António” In Portugal, the festivity of “Santo António” is very popular and one of the most venerated. It is celebrated on 13th of June and it attracts many people from various parts of the country.
Our Town: Pico de Regalados
Our town symbolizes the environmental concern which is characteristic of our region . It´s also known for its gastronomy and wonderful landscapes.
Our School: EBI Monsenhor Elísio Araújo
Our school has opened its doors in 1999 and, right now, it is composed of 23 schools, including primary schools, kindergartens and our school. It is known for the diversity of activities carried out and also for its dynamism.

In this school, there are 1158 students, as well as a good variety of vocational courses:
• gardening;• photography;• carpentry;• mechanical drawing.

Some examples of our activitiesThe Halloween Celebration
The Halloween festivity happens every year on the 31st October and it involves the whole school.
The Christmas Celebration
In this festivity, our students usually sing, dance and also perform different plays linked to this time of the year.
The Easter Celebration This activity also involves all the
students of this school and it consists in preparing typical food, and decorating tables and in exhibiting it so that the best one is chosen.
Some Innovative activities
Every year, some teachers of our school organise an important activity which involves sport performances, as well as exhibitions and which aims at involving the local community in its festivities, as well as promoting the importance of cultural activities in our life. It´s always a huge success!!!
Our school also cares about the environment.....
Our students are daily involved in some recycling activities, as well as in the conservation of our surrounding environment.
