Welcome Back Congress!
This year, the Hill community welcomes
a larger than usual crop of newcomers
to our midst. Maggie Hall writes about
the wonderful things this neighbor-
hood has to offer in “This Place We Call
Home.” Don Denton gives us his pro-
fessional view of our local real estate
market, and Heather Schoell makes
some suggestions on where you can
lend a helping hand.

Pediatric Constipation
By Dr. David Walls-Kaufman
The DG family has granted permission to tell you about their experience with chi-
ropractic care. They only asked that I not use their daughter’s name. They do not want her ‘googling’ this article when she is older. The mom and dad consulted me to see whether I thought chiropractic work on the nervous system might help their two-year old daughter, who suffered from a serious, six-month long, constipation problem. Laxatives had proved useless. I suggested they bring her in for an examination.
When they arrived, I found that their daugh-ter was terrified of doctors. She would not even sit on my exam table. So, while her father held her, I gently checked her spine as best I could.
Indeed, their daughter’s nervous system problems were so very pronounced that Ieasily detected spinal tension patterns, both subluxation and muscle spasm, in her lower back. This is precisely the area where major nerves that supply the intestine tract and co-lon reside.
While her father held her in his arms, I ap-plied very gentle, precise corrective pressure to the problem areas. It is surprising how gentle pressure in the precise location can free the nervous system.
Her father called me next morning, “Doc, just wanted to tell you: Half an hour after the adjustment—major poop! An hour after that, another major poop!”
They brought their daughter in that day again for a follow up exam. She was now a big fan of chiropractic. “We’re coming back tomorrow!” she assured me.
Consider a chiropractic consultation today for you and your family. Let us remove nerve interference so that maybe you too can live a drug-free, higher quality life.
