and laundry services, recreation programs and Good Samaritan TeleCare® (a 24-hour emergency response system). Residents furnish and personalize their suite with their own belongings.

Dementia Care Our dementia care program is designed after The Good Samaritan Society’s unique cottage model and offers a homelike environment. There are two, 10-bed dementia care cottages which are attached to the main building. The cottages are self-contained with private bedrooms, shared kitchen, living room and laundry room. Each cottage also has its own secure fenced courtyard. Clients are included in the daily living events to the extent that they are accustomed and able.

AdmissionTo qualify for admission to the Supportive Living program, residents are first assessed by Alberta Health Services (AHS). Contact AHS Access Centre for assessment at 1-866-388-6380.

Independent LivingGood Samaritan Vista Village offers 20 Independent Living suites; 18 studio suites and two, one-bedroom suites. Nine of these suites are designated as affordable housing for low income tenants. Meals, housekeeping and laundry services are offered as options to all independent living tenants. Supportive LivingGood Samaritan Vista Village offers a total of 75 Supportive Living suites; 46 private studio suites for single persons, four, one-bedroom suites for couples, 20 private dementia care rooms and five community support beds.

Supportive Living offers assistance with daily living and health care needs over a 24-hour period. Service includes scheduled and unscheduled personal care, housing, meals, housekeeping, linen

Features and Amenities

Welcome To: Vista Village Good Samaritan Vista Village offers 20 suites for independent living. Of these 20 suites, 18 are studio suites that are approximately 300 square feet and contain a kitchenette and fully accessible bathroom. Two suites are 1 bedroom and are approximately 550 square feet with full kitchens. Meals, housekeeping, and laundry services are offered as options to all independent living tenants. Nine of the 20 suites are designated as affordable housing suites for low income tenants.

Good Samaritan Vista Village is located just minutes from the Co-op Shopping Centre and offers a bus service for programs and recreational outings.

A Community Within a Community

Good Samaritan Vista Village Recreation Calendar:

• Independent living residents have the option of joining activities such as crafts, exercise groups and community outings.

• Activities can be coordinated by independent residents with support from Good Samaritan Vista Village Recreation staff. Such activities include movie nights, cribbage club and other social events.

Our community offers a range of services based on levels of personal care and needs. Good Samaritan Vista Village also offers 50 supportive living suites, 2 dementia care cottages and 5 community support beds.
