Does the program provide effective opportunities for forming a sense of connection among the Latino population on campus?

Data has been collected, analyzed and themes developed
- 1 Focus group conducted with 6 Latino students- 1 Interview completed with primary client- 2 questionnaires completed by 30 Latino students
- Currently prioritizing tentative findings and recommendations to be submitted to the client

Recommendations Programs need to be visible to all students minimize use of the terms “diversity and
multiculturalism”
Need another full time staff position
Tie the programs to educational purposes
Combine programs with other established events but don’t make it about diversity
Recommendations Don’t make any programs a requirement for
students
Create more venues/locations were students can interact more naturally (not always at a “program”)
Partner with more departments that are not “usual suspects”.
