BRIGADA ESKWELA 2017 CARAVAN AND KICK OFF PROGRAM ANDOTHER IMPORTANT REMINDERS

1. As a prelude to this yeafs Brigada Eskwela, a Caravan and Kick-Off program will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 instead of thepreviously announced date in the Division Memorandum No. 34, s. 2Ot7dated March 2L, 2017. As stated in DepEd Memorandum No. 43, s. 2017,Brigada Eskwela 2017 Kick-Off Program must be held in a public schooloffering Senior High School Program which will also be the final stop of thecaravan.

2. For the Schools Division of Sorsogon, the said activities will be doneby municipality/ district hence, planning must be done which will bespearheaded by the Public Schools District Supervisors in consultation withthe elementary and secondary school heads and all brigada eskwelacoordinators in their respective area. A copy of the final plan must besubmitted to the SDO on or before May 5, 2017.

3. All PSDSs and School Heads are encouraged to invite educationpartners/ stakeholders from the different sectors of the communify tosupport the national schools' maintenance week to make the school safe,clean and ready for the opening of classes on June 2017.

4. The SDO Key Officials and personnel will join the caravan and kick-off program at Jupi National High School, Jupi, Gubat, Sorsogon. Assemblyplace is at SDO of Sorsogon between 6:30-7:00 A.M.

5. Since the DepEd Regional Office V is requesting for PartialGenerated Resources (PGR) and Total No. of Volunteers (TNOV) forbrigada eskwela all PSDSs, Elementary and Secondary School Heads,District and School Brigada Coordinators are reminded to submit those datathrough Short Message Service (SMS) following the appropriate formatbelow on May 20,2Ol7:

a. For Elementary: DistricVName of School/PGR is (amount)/TNOVis (number)/Name of School Head

Ex. Casiguran Dist./ Ponong ES/PGR is Php 795,000.00/ TNOV is 2,907 Anne Curtis

b. For Secondary: Name of School/Municipality/PGR is(amount)/TNOV is (number)/ Name of School Head

Ex. Casiguran WS/Casiguran/PGR is Php 450,000.00/ TNOV is 5.777 Daniel Padilla

The SDO Sorsogon Brigada Eskwela 2017 Hotline Numbers to beactivated on May 12, 20L7 are as follows:

6. The counting of donations for brigada eskwela is from March 1 to May20, 2Ot7.

7. It is reiterated to all PSDSS, School Heads and B.E. Coordinatorsthatbefore the commencement of brigada eskwela the following forms shouldbe submitted to the SDO:

a. B.E. Form 1.1 - Physical Facilaties and l{eeds AssessmentForm for Classrooms

b. B.E. Form 1.2 - Physical Facilities and Needs AssessmentForm for Water and Sanitation Facilities

c. Program of Works (POWs) for minor constructions, minor repairsand other projects to be undertaken during the brigada eskwelafor approval by the SDS.

The approved POWs will serve as one of the bases for evaluating theschool's accomplishments for B.E. 2017 specially those schools vying forthe Search for Brigada Eskwela Best School Implementers this year.

8, Immediately after the activity, aside from the Narrative Report,Original Copies of Attendance Sheets of Volunteers, Clear Photos Taken(with dates and captions), DOD, DOA and certified true copies of O.R.s for

items bought for brigada eskwela out of the financial suppoft given by thestakeholders, the following reports emanating from elementary schools areto be submitted to the District Offices for consolidation by the District ASP/BE Coordinators before submitting to the SDO SGOD SocMobNet Sectionon the specified date on the provided timeline found in DivisionMemorandum No, 34, s. 2017:

a. B.E. Form 4 - R€port on Number of Volunt€ers(to be consolidated by all District ASP/ BE Coordinators)

b. Report on Total Generated Recource(to be an*lidated by all Distrid LSP/ BE @rdinators)

c. Scope of Workd. l,.etter of Intent (for those sch@ls joining the search)

9. The Brigada Eskwela t-shirts of all DepEd employees may be chargedto school fund/MOOE. To judiciously spend the fund, the cost of each t-shirtmust not be more than One ]lundred Fifty Peso6 (Php 15O.d)). Theschools may give t-shirts to their stakeholders charged to financialdonations received. Food allowance, travel and other incidental expensesshall be charged to local funds/ MOOE subject to the usual accounting rulesand regulations.
