Salary £26,000 per Annum

Contract Full Time

Hours of work

GMAC Ltd has a standard working week of 40 hours inclusive of meal breaks. Exact hours of work as required by demands of the post. Overtime payments will not be made, however time off in lieu, with the agreement of the Head of ICT, will be available to cover any additional hours worked.

25 days p.a. plus statutory holidays

The ICT Technical Administrator will support the Head of ICT in the role of developing and maintaining the desktops, servers & network systems throughout the organisation. Main Duties

Maintaining networks, servers and security programs and systems.

Manage the upgrade and installation of new hardware and software.

To install or remove software on networked devices as per the certification documents and updating any documentation with any changes as and when required

To maintain an ICT asset register for all software and hardware

Perform troubleshooting to address any problems with computer systems

Assess viruses and potential threats to a company’s network.

Monitor the use of internet, email, create and change passwords.

Make suggestions for improvements to computer systems. Backup data and perform data recovery if needed. Administer VOIP phone system Firewall administration Ensure that all relevant documentation is updated. Provide desktop support for Box Office and Staff. Work on projects related to Home’s systems.

Project Duties

To provide assistance and technical knowledge to aid the implementation of projects.

Provide ideas and solutions at project development and planning stages.

Work on administration and infrastructure projects and complete within agreed timescales.

Support Duties

To contribute to the ICT Helpdesk incidents/requests through to completion.

To provide users with continual and regular updates throughout the management of their incidents.

To work effectively with the Helpdesk systems ensuring that

ALL support calls are logged and fully updated in real time.

Accurately diagnosing computer hardware and software faults. Resolving the effectively and within any service level agreements.

Escalating any situations that may breach SLA or effect the quality of service provided to Head of ICT.

Essential Desirable

Experience A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an ICT Administration environment Experience in a windows 7,8.1 and MAC OS platform as well as Microsoft Office and Office 365 Experience of working in a team in a focussed collaborative environment Experience of administering enterprise IT systems Experience in system administration within a virtual environment Experience in VOIP system Administration Hands on experience of installing IT hardware and software

Experience of using SCCM to setup and control systems Experience of using ICT Helpdesk software packages Experience of application support within the arts /creative sector Linux system administration

Knowledge/Interests Knowledge of Microsoft based server Operating Systems, Office Packages and common peripherals Demonstrable excellent understanding of windows system administration, Active Directory, DNS,DHCP and group policies. Proficient working with Virtual environments Ability to manage shared folders and printers in a network environment Administration of Microsoft Office365 Installation and updating of Enterprise Antivirus software.

Knowledge and use of Linux base servers. Knowledge of Office365 applications.

Essential Desirable

Knowledge of Firewall Administration. Understanding of VOIP administration.

Practical & Intellectual Skills

Ability to support Head of ICT in the delivery of an effective ICT support system. Proven technical ability across all aspects of the desktop environment which can be translated into effective service delivery. Thorough understanding of client server environment including use of roaming profiles Ability to work under own initiative prioritise and organise workload. Keen attention to detail. Good problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure, remain calm and meet deadlines Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a wide range of people. Ability to research IT issues and products as required and to report back on results.

Ability to manage conflict Proven ability to understand, create and follow written procedures. Ability to translate technical issues to non-technical colleagues.
