Colchester Hospital
Survey Solutions were instructed to providea topographical, measured building andunderground utilities survey of the majorexisting Hospital site in Essex. The entireproject had to be completed whilst thehospital was fully operational and withoutinterrupting the running of the facility.This meant our surveyors had to workaround patients and staff, days and nightsin the wards, operating theatres and eventhe morgue.
Rannoch Castle, Scotland
One of the largest and most ‘interesting’topographical surveys we completed wasthe Rannoch Estate in the Highlands ofScotland. Surveying the site was extremelychallenging not only due to the very ruggedterrain but also the sub zero winter and theheavy snow which cut off the only road inand out, stranding our surveyors on site forseveral days.

FLOOR PLANS
Survey Solutions can produce fully-connectedmeasured floor plans as standalone drawingsor as part of a fully controlled survey packageof the structure and surrounding areas. Withsurvey controls established throughout thebuilding we can reliably link all floors to acommon datum in position and level to builda detailed 3d drawing of the property.
The survey can extend to all areas within thestructure, from the sub-basements to the roofspace, showing all voids, lifts and service ducts.
STRUCTURAL DETAILS
As a task specific investigation or part of anintegrated measured building project, SurveySolutions can provide accurate details of keyelements in buildings and structures. Takingdetail observations we can produce sectionsthrough any alignment to clearly show thevarious elements and how they relate to eachpart of the structure in position and level.

ELEVATIONS
Using the latest non-contact laser surveyinginstruments, Survey Solutions are able toundertake very accurate, detailed and fullymeasured elevations of building andstructures showing; architectural details,construction materials, dimensions and levels.
This data can then reference the floor plansand topographical survey to builda 3d image of the structure.
UndergroundSurveying
All our underground utilities survey teams are fully equipped withthe latest technology to locate and trace the full range of buriedfeatures, infrastructure and services. Each team has both multi-frequency electro-magnetic equipment and dual frequency 3DGround Penetrating Radar (GPR).
