ADJECTIVES Modify a noun or pronoun by telling
what kind, which one, how many, or how much. An adjective usually precedes the noun or pronoun which it modifies.
The most frequently used adjectives are articles: a, an, the.Example: The room was filled with large,
yellow rain boots.Example: The small boat floated on the
dark sea.Example: I can’t complete my assignment.
IDENTIFY THE ADJECTIVES IN THE FOLLOWING SENTENCES. The yellow balloon soared over the
steep roof of the house. Many people don’t understand that a
snowstorm can be dangerous. The little electric car chugged over the
steep hill and into the valley.
VERBS A word that asserts action, being, or
state of being.Example: James went to town.Example: These books are mine.
USE ONE VERB FOR EACH BLANK TO COMPLETE THE SENTENCE.

ADVERBS A word that modifies a verb, an

INTERJECTIONS Words or phrases used to exclaim or
protest or command. They sometimes stand by themselves, but they are often contained within larger structures.
Examples:Wow! I won the lottery! Oh, I don't know about that. No, you shouldn't have done that.
USING INTERJECTIONS, WRITE A SENTENCE TO GO WITH EACH FACE. EXAMPLE: YAY! I GET PAID TODAY!
