Robert K. Lifton and Lorretta played a major role in Mike’s decision to run for office. Bob was a realmentor to Mike, as well as a close friend. Bob and Loretta remain close friends to this day.

Original Team America soccer ball. Mike Curb was proud to join his

long time friend Robert Lifton as an original partner in the formation of

Team America which started in 1983 in Washington, D.C. while Curb was

chairman of the National Finance Committee for Ronald Reagan. Mike said,

“Lifton is probably the smartest man I’ve ever met and one of the great

visionaries and entreprenuers in our country. Team America laid the

groundwork for Team USA and soccer has now become even more popular

in the USA.”
