Now in our second decade of publishing the leading trade journal for independent café owners and professional baristas, we at Barista Magazine are busier than ever. Our mission: to keep up with the latest trends, new products, and inspiring people, both the industry’s original trailblazers, and the next generation of coffee pros.

Our specialty-coffee industry is growing faster than anyone could have anticipated a decade ago. Is it the shifting tastes of consumers, the increase in quality coffee, technological advancements—all of the above? I’d venture it’s those and a whole lot more. And we at Barista Magazine couldn’t be more excited to continue our work chronicling, educating, and celebrating our beloved industry in all its iterations.

We offer our advertisers unprecedented access to coffee retailers seeking the best of what the specialty-coffee industry has to offer, not only with your print and online advertisements, but with the myriad opportunities that go with it: social media promotion, articles about your business, and inclusion in the high-profile “Stuff” product section in every single issue.

We invite you to join us on this journey as we share with the world’s most perceptive and forward-thinking coffee professionals the coffee industry of today, and of the future.

Since its debut in 2oo7, the Barista Magazine blog has

Ashley has a background as an educator both in academics and for top coffee roasters in New York and San Francisco.

With the addition of Ashley as Barista Magazine’s online editor, readership for our blog increases every day, and opportunities for engaging with our audience for our advertisers abound. We welcome you to see what’s new with Barista Magazine online on a daily basis.

Each downloaded issue has all of the high-quality content that our print magazine has, but also offers even more.

Every link is live, including urls on ads. With the touch of a finger, readers go from your ad directly to your website, or if it features a phone number, they can even call you straight from your ad.

The Barista Magazine App is available on iTunes, GooglePlay, and in the Amazon store. In our effort to keep education and community within reach of baristas globally, we’ve made a conscious decision to keep the app, and our entire library of issues, available for free.

We’ve found social media to be a terrific way to reach and interact with our audience throughout the year on a daily basis. In fact, Barista Magazine’s engagement with our social media followers is so strong that we lead all coffee media and organizations in Klout Scores (a measurement of influence and interaction on social media).

THE OFFICIAL WBC EVEnT PROGRAm

“Barista Magazine provides a space for all of us to enjoy the fruits of the coffee community and, like a neighborhood coffeehouse, helps to encourage, inspire, and hold us together as colleagues in coffee.”

Chris DeferioLouisville, Kentucky

I’ve been reading Barista Magazine now for I don’t even know how many years. Maybe it’s because I’m a new shop owner, or maybe because of the recent content, or maybe the stars are just aligning, but everything that is in it resonates like no other. Thanks for everything you do to put together such an amazing publication.

Lorenzo PerkinsAustin, Texas

“I was a bar back when Barista Magazine started, and now I’m a coffee buyer. I travel all over the world, and I see Barista Magazine everywhere—in cafés in Korea, on tea farms in Indonesia, in barista schools in Germany, and of course, at every quality café I go to in the United States and Canada.”

Barista Magazine’s online ad program is unique in that our ads never rotate— each advertiser owns the ad space 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on every page of Barista Magazine’s website and blog, for the month you purchase the ad. Most websites change the ads every time you hit refresh, resulting in minimal exposure for your ad.

Our system means that we have fewer ads to sell, meaning the mes-sage behind your ad will get more exposure than ever. We offer 7 banner ads (the boxes down the right side of every page), and one leaderboard (the horizontal bar at the top of the page), per month.
