Jurupa USD Prop. 39 Project Background

California Clean Energy Jobs Act approved by voters November 6, 2012

On May 6, 2013 Jurupa Board approved a Prop. 39 Project Development Agreement

In June 2014, District submitted an application for Jurupa’s Prop. 39 project funding to California Energy Commission (CEC)

November 11, 2014 CEC approved Jurupa’s application in the amount of $1,906,726.81

Installing 1,700 LED exterior lighting fixtures at 26 District sites

Replacing 45 rooftop air conditioning units at 10 schools

Installing new gym lighting at Jurupa Valley HS and Patriot HS

Installing new energy efficient equipment on swimming pool pump motors at Jurupa Valley HS and Rubidoux HS

Replace battery backup systems for emergency lighting at four school sites; Jurupa Valley HS, Patriot HS, Stone ES, and Granite ES

Jurupa USD Phase IEnergy Project Savings Guarantee

On September 19, 2011 the Board approved our Energy Services Contract for the Phase I project

Our contract included a five year energy savings guarantee

The project was completed in August, 2013

The first year savings guarantee study is now complete

The first year energy guarantee was $1,273,974

The actual energy savings was $1,348,705 (106%)
