It is where children learn obedience so that they will understand what it means to obey God. Home is where we learn who God is and learn to love Him. Home is where we learn who we are and who others are. It’s where we learn to live unselfishly with other people, taking them into consideration. All of this and much more, happens primarily within the family.”


Psalm 127:1-51Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. 2In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat- for he grants sleep to those he loves. 3Children are a heritage from the LORD,

children a reward from him.


4Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one's youth. 5Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.


Our children get a Christ-centered makeover when:

1) God is the Foundation of Our Families

Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain.




2) We Understand God Provides and Protects


Psalm 127:1b-2

Unless the LORD watches over the city,

the watchmen stand guard in vain. In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat- for HE grants sleep to those he loves.


"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air: they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"

3) We Realize They are a Blessing to Us and a Legacy from Us
