Demo 1: Basic Configuration, Exchange

On the Exchange server…

• Create CUC Service Account (cucsvc).

• Enable IMAP4 service.

• Enable user’s account for IMAP4.

Demo 1: Basic Configuration, CUC

On the CUC server…

• Enable “TTS of Email” COS Settings

• Create “IMAP External Service”

• Create “IMAP External Service Accounts”

Demo 2: Secure IMAP with SSL

On the Exchange server…

• Request a certificate from favorite CA

• Obtain CA’s signing certificate as .cer

On the CUC server…

• Load CA’s signing certificate to CUC system certificate store

• Change External Service to use SSL

Troubleshooting Tips

User hears, “Emails cannot be read now…”

Possible Causes:• CUC is configured incorrectly• Exchange is down or inaccessible• CUC invalid or expired SSL certificates• Exchange response time exceeded CUC configured timeout

Troubleshooting Tips

User hears, “The message text is blank…”

Possible Causes:• Email has no text part, or the text part is empty• Email exceeded the maximum TTS’able size (default is 1 MB)• Email text is in unsupported text formats (PDF, RTF, PS) • Email has unsupported character encoding (ISO-2022-JP)
