and out. Due to the height adjustment with memory function the ergonomic handles are always

in the right position. And if it is time to take a break, you can sit safely on the spacious seat -

with comfortable back support.

Why Handicare?

We are driven by a passion to make everyday life easier. For those with mobility

and accessibility challenges, as well as those who care for them. It’s been that

way with us from the start in 1986. That’s when Tom Myklebust and two other wheel-

chair users, all suffering from a paralysing injury, set up ‘Rullestolekspertene’

(the Wheelchair experts), after their chance meeting at a Norwegian rehabilitation

centre. Their vision was to develop and deliver high-quality custom-made

wheelchairs for disabled people. To increase their independence and quality of

life, and truly make a difference. Today Handicare, as the company is called

since 1995, is one of the leading healthcare companies in Europe and Tom

continues to be an inspiration to all of us working with him. And a living
