What is Zotero and

what does it do?

• Reference/Citation management software

• A Plugin for Firefox (also standalone version)

• Manages references like Endnote

• Allows you to access your library from any internet-connected computer (except Victoria student domain)

• Downloads bibliographic data from web pages

• Creates in-text citations/footnotes/bibliographies in a referencing style you choose in MS Word

IMPORTANT

In MS Word you cannot edit referencesand bibliographies created using theZotero Word plugin directly because youwill delete the hidden code needed forthem to work.

INSTEAD use the “Edit Citation” and “EditBibliography” Word plugin options, whichopen up a Zotero editing screen.
