Jazz musician, guitarist, multiinstrumentalist, sound artist,arranger and composer, begins toplay guitar at theageof 9,

Later on he studiedwith themost prominent guitarplayersinCroatiaandstudiedwithand/orattendedworkshopsofmanyworldfamousguitarplayerslikeScottHenderson,RobbenFord,MarcRibot,SidJacobs,KurtRosenwinkel…Intheyearsthatfollowedhecollaborateswithmany famous singers,mostly in Croatia, takes part in different projects, recordingsandorchestrasinCroatiaandinternationally.Healsoobtainedamasterdegreewithmaximumvotesinjazzperformanceatthejazzdepartmentof“ConservatorioG.Tartini”inTrieste,Italy.

SinceSeptember2004heis livinginViennaandtoursasasidemanandwithhisownprojectsalloverEurope.

In2006KlemensMarktlwasnominatedforthe“HansKollerSidemanoftheYearAward”.

Since 2011 KlemensMarktl is the professor for Jazz-Drums studies at the Conservatory in Klagenfurt(Austria).
