People in need in the African country of Mauritania will be the recipients of the 2014 We Care BC Baling Days shipment. Our partner, the Lutheran World Federation-Mauritania, will receive a shipment of quilts, blankets, school supplies, hygiene supplies, and more, which will help people in refugee camps and developing communities. LWF Mauritania is one of CLWR's most trusted partners. They've been working for forty years, helping people reduce poverty, develop sustainable livelihoods, and promote civil and political rights. In recent years they have focused on humanitarian relief and disaster preparedness. Regional insecurity, the Sahel drought, floods, cyclones, and political instability have meant there is much need to help people living in the region.
