Welcome everyone to the 2010-’11 school year. We as staff are
excited to start this new year with dedication and enthusiasm.
Our first month will be dedicated to helping all the new students
acclimate to their new surroundings and familiarize themselves
to their classmates, learn games, rules and the routines within
our program.
Entering the Young Entrepreneur School - Kindergarten level - is
an exciting time for every child. Moving from the home environ-
ment to the school environment is a big step. Both parents and
teachers want this transition to be as smooth as possible. School
boards provide a variety of experiences to assist all children in
their early learning.
The teacher welcomes the children into the
program and gently introduces them to the
Kindergarten environment. Orientations
help everyone feel at ease. The children are
given time to become acquainted with each
other and with classroom activities and
materials. Gradually, children will gain a
sense of belonging because they know the
routines and school layout.
Our young entrepreneurs will
soon start an introductory on
their first project —
THE RESTAURANT.
Students who participate in after-school
programs are more engaged in and have a better
attitude about learning, perform better academi-
cally, and enjoy an increased sense of
accomplishment, competence, and self-esteem. Our
After-school club is open for kids age 3 - 12 (boys
& girls).
Activities include homework club, robot
design, room redecoration, Quran, swim-
ming and many more….. Please call administration if you are interested in
joining the afterschool program at 6127670
ext.103.
Communication is critical during this first year. The
teacher may use newsletters, notes and telephone
calls to share information with parents. Parents can
also share their children’s concerns and let the
teacher know of any changes at home that might af-
fect a child’s behavior and progress in Kindergarten.
We encourage parents to log on to the Class Work
page on the school’s website in order to receive im-
portant information about the student’s academic
progress.

PICK-UP TIMING at 1pm
Be aware that pick-up and drop-off promptness is important, but we are flexible. We
allow a 15 minute grace period at pick-up time, as weather and traffic can sometimes
interfere with our schedules.
Give us a call an let us know if there are any challenges, and talk to the administrator
if there is a regular challenge that needs to be addressed and solutions will be man-
aged on an individual basis.
