The Anglo Saxons, Vikings and scots
ReadingWe will be learning about:● Growing our understanding of root
words, prefixes and suffixes● Continuing to read and discuss a wide
range of Fiction and non fiction texts● Developing our ability to infer deeper
meanings in texts.
MathsWe will be learning about:● Fractions and decimals - Understand and use
numbers with up to 3 decimal places; read and write decimals as fractions; solve problems involving measure with all four operators.
● Angles - Estimate and compare acute, obtuse and reflex angles; draw given angles, measuring in degrees; identify totals of angles at a point and on a straight line.
Writing
We will be learning about:● Non-chronological reports
-Using expanded noun phrases to convey complicated information concisely.
● Discursive texts - Noting and developing initial ideas, drawing on reading and research where necessary.
Religious EducationWe will be learning about: ● The values of Sikhism. ● Beliefs and values in Sikhism.● Sikh beliefs and values in our
society.
Physical EducationPupils will need their PE kits every thursday for their pe lesson with the coaches.
In our pe sessions we will be learning about Gymnastics and how to improve our balance and agility.
