Satisfaction.(My definition)

Satisfaction

Fulfilment of one's wishes, expectations, or needs; or the pleasure derived from this.

The Basics

• Layout

• Navigation

• Typography

• Colours

• Animation

Layout

• F-shape

• Rule of 4

• Negative space

Great use of the “rule of 4” and negative space.

Wonderful use of the F-shape.

Navigation

• You are here

• Common design patterns

• Indicators: labels, tool-tips

• Recovery from error

Clear indicators: labels, tooltips, highlights.

Non-intrusive tooltip and a clearly marked exit button.

Typography Typography

• Readability

• Mixing fonts

• Language

Single font family is often enough.

Mixing 2+ fonts can work if you know what you are doing.

Using users’ language.

Colours

• Colour theory

• Matching colours

• Colour-coding

Red to indicate performance, green to show trust.

Animation

• Illusion of life → future

• Timing: can you do it fast enough?

• Attention vs. distraction

Principles

• Consistency

• Variation

• Simplicity

• Consideration

• Usability

Flops(Spot the mistakes)

What’s wrong? Where do I begin… ;)

Waaaaaaay too many characters per line of text…

This could do with some labeling and recovery from error.
