ALL MODES OF WRITING

• HAVE A PLAN!!!!!! Do not attempt just to write off the top of your head. This will result in poor organization and structure.

• Include a simile or metaphor

• FULLY develop your topic and stick to it

• Use strong vocabulary

• Make sure your reader can tell your clear beginning, middle, and end

MORE WRITING TIPS FOR “ADAW”

• Do not skip lines – they barely give you enough space as it is.

• Remember to indent each new paragraph.• Read over what you have written often to

make sure it actually says what you want it to say.

• You will not be able to use a dictionary or thesaurus.

• You may not ask your teacher ANY questions about the topic or your text.

DO YOUR BEST!!!
