Applied with silver gilt ribbon-tied laurel wreaths and swags, the lower corners with gilt rosettes; ivory back and gilt scroll strut, 88 silver standard and scratched inventory number 215344 ½ x 4 ½ in.

8A Russian silver gilt and shaded cloisonne enamel card caseFeodor Ruckert, Moscow, late 19th centuryThe two-compartment case decorated with the Jack of Spades and the Queen of Clubs against a white ground surrounded by multi-color scrolling strapwork and foliate borders against a light blue ground, the sides similarly decorated with stylized plumed mythical birds and scrolling flowerheads, the cover with scrolling foliate motifs and a representation of the four suits in each of the corners, the base engraved, “Dec, 25, 1901”3 7/8 x 2 3/4 x 1 3/4 in.
