This man works in Malaysia.

He’s picking the leaves from these long rows of plants.

The leaves will be sold to factories, where other workers will dry and sort them.

Then they’ll put the dried leaves into boxes.

You can put these leaves – often inside little bags – into hot water to make a very popular drink.

This man works in Brazil. There are lots of fields like this in Brazil. The plants can measure up to six metres!

The man is cutting down the stalks.

These stalks, or canes, will be washed, chopped, shredded, mixed with water and crushed to release a juice.

This juice is used to make a very, very sweet food. People add it to other foods to make them taste better.

He’s climbing this palm tree to reach the fruit at the top of it.

Palm trees can sometimes grow to be over 20 metres tall.
