Woodland creek •Woodland creek is near the mouth of
Henderson Inlet.•In Woodland creek there are many
mossy trees. There is also tons of woody debris.
•Some of our questions about Woodland creek are what part of the
year does the creek have the most water? During what season does
Woodland creek have the most D.O?
What tests show good water quality ?D.O. In October, pH in October, and nitrates in October and February.
Which data does not meet the water quality values?
Fecal Coliform in both months.
What might be causing these hot spots?
One way is animal waste.
What could be done to improve water quality/stream health and/or
testing accuracy at our site? The answer we came up with was to have less people and animals nearby.
There are many problems with our watershed currently,
some of them are things like septic system failure, fertilizer, car oil and brake pads, and one of the big
problems is shellfish harvesting.
