Challenges: FundingSolutions suggested:• CILT operation grant from local chapters and sponsor chairperson to
attend ICM• Each country to pay dues to the region. Region will contribute to
Global Fund.• Long term sponsorship from corporations, with WiLAT value to be
offered in return in the form of training & development for their female employees.
• Global sponsors with reciprocation of marketing on WiLAT publications and events
• International and regional organizations that support women i.e. The World Bank / United Nation for research and development of WiLAT related topics

Challenges: Awareness
The challenge is 2-folded:1.Women are so focused on their specialized job and is not aware of other jobs
that are available2.WiLAT is not known by the L&T organizations and companies
Solutions suggested:• List of jobs available in Supply Chain, Logistics & Transport• Organizations to pay for qualified WiLAT staff membership• Roadshow to each sub-sector of L&T industry• Breakfast meetings with potential organization members• Conference for women in the L&T industry but who are not yet WiLAT or CILT
members• Global WiLAT web page or Instagram
11
Challenges: Recognition
Solutions suggested:• Recognize the distinguished women• Write their stories• Put in press and publications
• Recognize young ladies• Those in universities• Offer scholarships• Job placements• Internships
• Establish a linkage / relationship with governments
12
Challenges: Membership
Suggested Solutions:• Continuous Professional Development points (CPD) for
WiLAT activities• WiLAT membership as part of CILT membership structure• WiLAT loyalty card with unique benefits• Align with other professional groups with women• Recruit potentials as Friends of WiLAT (FOW) until they
can be approved as CILT members.
