Unlike Ford City, who had street crews immediately re-sponding to snowfall and had streets plowed within 24 hours of the first winter storm, Kit-tanning residents and business district remain unplowed as of this morning. Frustrated busi-ness owners continue to lose customers who refuse to wade through the snow to shop.

If you ask fans in the Pitts-burgh area about Roethlis-berger’s career, most will tell you that he’s a surefire Hall of Famer. Why wouldn’t they, after all? He’s won two out-out-of-three Super Bowls, has led his team to the playoffs nearly every year that he’s been in the league and is one of the bet-ter ad-lib quarterbacks in re-cent memory. I however, will need to see more before I can guarantee a bust for Big Ben in Canton. While he is a great quarterback, Roethlisberger

has only thrown for over 4000 yards twice in his career, has only eclipsed 30 touchdowns once and has never really end-ed a season in the MVP conver-sation. By today’s standard of passing, that’s relatively weak. And the Super Bowls? Well the Steelers championship in 2005 can hardly be attributed to Roethlisberger’s efforts since he had the worst performance of any Super Bowl winning quarterback ever (123 yards passing, two interceptions and a quarterback rating of 22.6). He did have an impressive

final drive in Super Bowl XLIII against Arizona but was greatly helped by his defense to be in such a po-sition (ala James Harrison’s 102-yard INT return at the end of the first half). Throw in his stinker in Super Bowl XLV against Green Bay and I just find it difficult to see Ro-ethlisberger’s career as Hall of Fame quality as it is right now. Granted, he has plenty of time left to put himself over the top but I’d have Big Ben on the outside looking in if he were to retire today.
