The children were given a string
and a variety of cylindrical pasta like macaroni, to make a necklace!
They had to patiently and carefully thread the string through the pasta they chose,
with the help of masking tape, to prevent the pasta from falling through.
They learn to plan and strategically paste the masking tape at different parts of the string
to make it easier for them to achieve their preferred necklace design
.

They then cut two slits in a card stock
and designed it to make their necklace presentable as a gift!

Manya (L) brought a purple dinosaur with very sharp teeth for eating “people”!
And it does make a “roaring” sound too.
Seth (R) was excited to show his friends his police car and ambulance.
He showed how fast they can go across the room.
Elior connected his train carriages
and showed his friends how strong the magnets were by
holding on to the first carriage and dangling the rest.
Jordan and Haegen
shared the use of their construction vehicles!

Learning to be aware of their surroundings.
Jumping over the horizontal foam stick…
Then walking in a line without stepping onto the boundaries set by the foam sticks.
The two lines of foam sticks were brought closer together.
The children were tasked to balance one feet on each line
and walk along it without stepping onto the ground.

We learned another use for the knife besides using it for Cutting …
… SPREADING the jam and butter on the bread
Ingredients – Kaya, Black Current Jam, Butter and Bread Slices
Raring to go …. Getting their knife to work …
One hand sawing the bread with the knife while the other hand holds the bread in place ..
A little Intro to Jams & Butter :
- Fruit jams (strawberry, orange marmalade, pear, apricot; etc)
- Kaya is “Egg Jam”
- Nut butter (made from nuts like peanuts, almonds, hazelnut; etc)
>> all are most familiar with strawberry jam and dairy & peanut butter!
