Definition of Cold Climate

GL Wind-Technical Note 067:

If minimum temperatures of below -20°C have been obser vedduring long term measurements on an average of more thannine days a year, the site is defined as a cold climate site.

Standard Conditions of Use for REpower MM CCV:

Ambient temperature range for operation: -30°C to + 35°C

Ambient temperature range for structure: -40°C to +50°C

First experiences from 2 MW turbine operation in China:

� heaters performed very satisfactory

� no icing conditiones occurred up to now

� ventilation system with special filters works reliable

� full CCV test period will be in this winter
