Windows XP PC speed up Tips

Microsoft no longer providing support for Windows XP operating system. But we still

provide support and tips for windows XP users. Follow the steps carefully for speeding up your

computer.

STEP 1: Defragment Computer

You have to employ Disk Cleanup and Defragment option in your PC.

First locate the hard disk drive and right click on it. From the Menu click Properties. Then click the

Tools menu. Under tools click “Defragment Now...” button.

STEP 2:Make the startup folder free

Huge number of items in startup folder will decrease the boot time.

First click the start button and then click Programs. From the programs list click

“Startup” folder. Select the program and right click, then click delete.

Step 3: Delete Large files from computer.

Free up your Hard Drive by deleting large files like movie, music and pictures. Now

in the desktop locate Recycle bin and empty it.

STPE 4:Update virus protection

Update your current virus and antispyware software and run a total pc

scan. This will take few minutes and prepare for that.

Upgrade you PC with more memory, faster processor and latest version of OS.
