To class a film as a British film it has to fit into one of 5 categories Category A- Film made with British money and
resourcesCategory B- Film co-funded with British & foreign
investment, majority of the finance, cultural content used must come from Britain.
Category C- Films with foreign money investment and a some or small British input, either creatively or financially.
Category D- Films made in the UK with cultural content, but financed fully or partly by American companies
Category E- foreign films with partial British involvement.
Majority of British films are about Social, society, realism. British films show society in a realistic way.
