About Me…• I wanted to be a teacher at age 5• Taught 6, 7 and 8th grades at Whitman

Middle School in Seattle from 2008-2014• Einstein – this is my 2nd year here. • I have worked in a variety of teaching

capacities: tutoring, one-on-one and small group Writing and Reading Support, Special Education, Literacy Support and co-teaching• I want your students to enjoy this class

and feel comfortable being themselves

• I update grades to Data Dashboard once every two weeks or more

• 70% Assessments- essays, book clubs, other skill work• 20% Practice – in class assignments and

formative assessments, post its, exit tickets • 10% Academic Responsibility – turning in

work on time, behavior, Library PRIDE
