How to Install GEAR2003? Insert GEAR2003 CD into your CD-Rom drive. GEAR2003 will automatically start installing on your computer (If not, go to your CD drive and double click on setup.exe). You will see the window as shown on Step1.

Step 1: Press OK to continue with the setup or Exit Setup to cancel the setup.

Step 2: Press the Button as shown here. Also note the Directory where the software will be installed. If you want to install at other

location (say D:\… etc), click on Change Directory and specify the desired path as shown below.

Step 3: Press Continue to complete this step.

Step 4: Setup Status dialogue will display the setup progress.

Step 5: GEAR2003 will display this message when setup is complete.

How to change Authorization Level?

Step 1: Run GEAR2003. Please note that the flash screen does not show any license status because the license status depends on the module. In other words some modules may be licensed and others

not. So license status should be checked individual for each module.

Step 2: To check the license status of any module, start that module by clicking on its icon from the tool bar. If the module is Unlicensed a

screen like here will appear. If that module has license no such information will appear during start-up.

Step 3: To change Authorization level, start module by clicking on its icon from tool bar. Then select menu File Change Authorization…

Step 4: Click on ‘Get From File’ to install the License Files.

Step 5: Double click on License Files folder on GEAR2003 CD to open it.

Step 6: Select the file currently displayed file and press open. GEAR2003 will update the License and display a message.

Step 7: To verify the license status of any module, start that module and press menu Help About.
