Chester is a great base from which to explore the region.
Liverpool, home of the Beatles, and Manchester, famous for
Manchester United, are both less than an hour away. If you want
to visit the calming countryside, Cheshire has some beautiful
stately homes, villages, attractions and walks to explore. North
Wales is a short distance away from Chester; here you can see
medieval castles, beaches, gardens, cosy pubs and restaurants.
Airports
The nearest airports to Chester are Manchester International and
Liverpool John Lennon, which are both about 40 minutes by
road.
By Road
Chester is just a 1hour drive from Manchester and 45 minutes
from Liverpool. Main motorway links to Chester are through the
M6, M56 and M53.
By Rail
Chester is only two hours from London by train. Chester Railway
Station also has links to Liverpool, Manchester and North Wales.
