Specialtransportserviceswillbeannouncedonthe26thMarchtoallowtheteams
togoto theirrespectiveaccommodation, trainingsessions,equipmentcheckand
classification.
InordertoattendtheOpeningCeremonyteamswillnotreturntothehotel.Dinner
willbeservedclosetotheVenue(PolideportivoMunicipalPrincipedeAsturias,
PintoMadrid)asduringtherestoftheRegionalOpen.
TeamsmustbereadyfortheparadeinfrontofMainEntry.
AftertheOpeningCeremonytheteamswillbetransportedtothehotel(HotelLas
Artes).Teamswillbepreviouslyinformedwhatbuswillpickthemup.
Someslightdelaysmayoccurwhilewetrytofilleachshuttlecompletely.
NotransportationwillbeprovidedtoanyteamstayinginahoteloutoftheHOC.

MEALS BreakfastanddinnerwillbeservedintheHotels.

Teamsarrivingonthe25th Marchwillhavedinneratthehotel.
On the 26th March lunches will be served at the hotels, except teams who have
classification,equipmentcheckortrainingatthattime,whowillhavelunchatthe
venue.

written in English with them. They must also bring the Certificate of Diagnosis
completed by their medical doctor. It can be printed from Page 38 of the
ClassificationRules.

Fiveminutes before the finish time theymust stop training and prepare all the
equipmenttogetoutatthescheduledtime.
Accesstotheentranceofthetrainingareawillbeallowedonlytoaccreditedstaffor
athleteswhoarescheduledfortraining.
Access to the entrance of Sports Equipment Storage will be allowed only to
accredited stafforathleteswhoare scheduled for trainingand forpickingupor
leavingsportsequipment.

COMPETITOR BIBS Upon confirmation of classification, each athlete shall be given two competitor
numbers:
• Oneofthepiecesmustbewornatalltimesduringthehoursofcompetition.
The competitor number must be affixed on the front of the shirt or the
trouserleg
• Thesecondcompetitornumberisareservecopy.ExceptionforclassesBC1
andBC3: in thisparticularcase, theassistantwillhavea thirdcompetitor
numbertobeaffixedwherevisible.
Ifanathleteforgets, losesorchoosesnottoweartheircompetitornumber,
theywillnotbepermittedtoenterthewarm-uparea, theCallRoomorthe
fieldofplay.Asidethatisnotpresentforthestartofthematchforfeitsthe
match(ref.8.3).ExceptionsmaybeconsideredbytheHeadRefereeand/or
theTechnicalDelegate.

BOCCIA BALLS TheOrganizingCommitteewillhaveCompetitionBallsavailableforbothtraining

AthletespersonalsetsofBocciaBallswillbecheckedasSportsEquipmentinthe
mannersetoutabove.
Immediately outside the entrance to the Call Roomwill be an electronic set of
weighingscalesandmeasuringtemplate forSidestochecktheeligibilityof their
ballsbeforeentry.
Duringthecompetition,randomballcheckswilltakeplaceintheCallRoompriorto
eachroundofmatcheswithoneortwocourtsbeingselectedforinspection.Balls
thatfailthecriteriawillbeconfiscateduntiltheendofthecompetition(asabove).
Theplayerwillbeallowedtoreplacetheball/swithcompetitionball/satthistime.
Afterthematch,thesecompetitionballsshallbereturnedtotheReferee.

Meeting.

Access to the InformationDesk is restricted to theTeamManagerordesignated
person. The sports information desk will be located at the venue; the precise
