Healthy Eating
Cooking nutritious lunches
4W and 3/4L spent Thursday 23rd creating healthy lunches, under
the guidance of Mrs Williams. Education about nutrition is an
important part of the school curriculum in NSW. The goal is to help
children understand the importance of having a healthy diet and
developing healthy eating habits.
Inverell Floral Festival Parade
This Saturday 1st November Inverell Public School will be participating in the Sapphire City Floral
Festival Parade. Children wishing to walk in the parade are required to assembly at Victoria Park
opposite Harvey Norman at 3.15pm in full summer uniform. Children will be able to be picked up
at the Welcome Back car park in Sweeney St from 4.30-4.45pm (students will only complete one
lap of the parade).

Science News
This week in science Year 5 and 6 students have been
investigating the adaptions of plants. In this experiment students
were comparing how leaves in various plants lost water. Years 3
and 4 have been investigating gravity and in this experiment
were attempting to defy gravity.
