Today, Pillingers Hiring Service is truly a family business:-

Pillingers was purchased in 1980 and through a strategic plan we concentrated the growth of the company on the Home Market,
Weddings and Corporate Events.
In 2002, Pillingers moved to it’s current address - 4 Jessica Place, Prestons, a modern 2000 sq.m. warehouse where stock, equipment, sales
and administrated logistics are all controlled from.
Pillingers Hiring Service now finds itself in a position it has strived long and hard for. No longer the small company, we are proud to be
able to put together great events that anyone in our industry would be envious of.
It gives me a great sense of achievement to look back at how far the company has come and how far it has yet to go.

Choosing a Ceremony loCation
• Be sure to examine the park or garden first hand.
• You can find locations of parks and gardens through the local councils where you are interested in going.
• Always have a back-up plan in case of wet weather. Steeples come in handy for moments such as these.

Some of the very early considerations when planning your wedding are where you will have your reception, how many guests your reception will cater for and how far in advance you will need to book your reception venue.
• A wedding marquee is a fantastic alternative to booking a wedding reception venue. A marquee allows for great flexibility of the venue, ranging from your backyard to a park or even a beach location somewhere.
• Once your venue is booked you may wish to start planning a theme or style that suits your character.
• Before your wedding day you will want to get an idea of how your reception may be mapped out, where your guests will sit, where the amenities are and so on. CAD drawings come in handy for things such as this.
• It’s always a good idea to arrange a run sheet to keep things in order before the big day, what to expect, and when to expect it.
• There are no limits on the number of guests, or size of the marquee.
• Remember ‘BUDGET’. It’s always good to plan ahead.
• Last but not least relax and enjoy the ride, it truly is meant to be exciting!

nsPAYMenT - Unless you have an account with us, full payment is due prior to hire or on delivery.
reSPOnSiBiLiTY - All responsibility remains with the hirer for the caring of hire equipment when delivered until pick up as there is no
insurance on any equipment. If theft occurs while the items are in your care and control you have an obligation for replacement, either through
cash settlement or a claim on your own insurance.
BreAKAgeS/SHOrTAgeS - Our staff carefully check and pack all orders. If you notice any items missing or damaged when you receive your
order, please notify us immediately. When your order is returned all shortages or damages must be paid for.
Bond - A cash or credit card deposit is required with your order and prior to delivery. Bonds by cheque or credit to your credit card will be
refunded within 10 working days after the date of return. Bonds will not be refunded by the driver. Cash deposits may be collected at the
office or otherwise be refunded to you by cheque, credit card or eftpos.
cArTAge AnD LABOUr FeeS - Where goods are to be delivered or picked up by the company a cartage fee will apply according to the
distance and degree of difficulty involved.
cLeAning - All equipment must be clean on return or a cleaning fee will be charged on any item returned dir ty.
cAnceLLATiOn - In the event of cancellation by the hirer more than 1 week prior to the event the booking fee is non refundable but may
be transferred to cover another date. Less than 1 week but more than 48 hours - 25% of the total hire. Cancellation within 48 hours of event
incurs total charges.
WeeKenD WOrK - When an event is to take place on a weekend, our normal procedure is to deliver Thursday - Friday and pick up Monday
- Tuesday. However, if we elect to deliver or pick up on a Saturday or Sunday, we may do so at our expense. Otherwise, an extra labour fee
will be charged.
POinTerS - Additional charges include: Delivery, Damage Waiver and GST . We have the right to alter our prices without any notice. Reduced
charges may be offered for a long term hire.
