This is a presentation on 3 (three) different webtools that teachers can use in their lessons to enhance technology in the classroom: ProProfs, ZooBurst and Pixton.

Brief Description

ProProfs is a free web tool that you can use to create online quizzes and tests.

You can make an online quiz using existing templates or create your own from

scratch.

Advantages

❏ Very user friendly

❏ Clear instructions

❏ You can constantly edit the content

❏ You can grade results

❏ You can also add videos, pictures, documents and

PowerPoints to Questions

❏ You can track who took the quiz

Disadvantages

❏ You cannot upload photos in jpeg format

❏ You need an e-mail account to save your quiz

❏ There is only one fixed font

Possible Classroom Ideas

❏ Treasure Hunt: in this activity you ask Ss to read a passage

in search of a particular concept, idea, or fact. Create up to 5

questions that focus on one passage. Using ProProfs Quiz

Maker, use the “Fill in the Blank” question type, then create

your list of possible answers.

❏ Teachers can make quizzes to evaluate Ss.

❏ Teams scores competition: Ss can create their own quizzes

to learn the material and evaluate their classmates as well.

Classroom idea

First, divide your class in groups of 2 or 3

members. Let them make up a story.

Then, they will represent it in the digital story

telling. They practise specific vocabulary, the

use of Present or Past simple to narrate the

story.

Finally, they can share it!
