Job Description
Job Title: Front of House Visitors Receptionist
Hours: 8.00 am – 4.30 pmTerm time plus 1 week in the holidays
Grade 5
Job Purpose: To act as the primary point of contact between the school,
parents/carers and the community and to provide consistency and accuracy of communication to best support pupils and staff.
To operate the school switchboard and office e-mail account. To promote the school by presenting a positive image. To ensure they have a comprehensive understanding of the school
community and its operations and knowledge of daily activities. To work as a member of a team that provides high quality
administrative support for the school, To ensure stocks of stationery and first aid materials are
maintained. To be first aider for adults and keep a log and report any injuries
using AssessNet. To provide first aid cover for the learner receptionist when required. Receive and entertain visitors, dealing with general enquiries from
staff, pupils, parents/carers and members of the community. Open and distribute all post and deal with outgoing post at the end
of the day. Take delivery of parcels, distribute and maintain a record of them. Word processing of documents as required by management and
teaching staff. Other administration duties as required. Participate in the school’s scheme of professional development and
performance Any other duties that may be required by the Senior Management
Team
